dwells in the believer, keeps the believer from the power of sin and leads him to the Father through His Son - Jesus Christ.
We believe the Bible is the Word of God given by inspiration through Holy men. That in the Bible, God seeks to reveal his will to
man and man seeks to respond to God's revelation. We believe the Bible to be the final authority to any spiritual question(s) or
issue(s) that may arise.
We believe that the union of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is revealed through His church, founded on the day of Pentecost, and
that all believers are united into one body, the Church. We believe that Christ is coming back for His Holy Church, without spot or
wrinkle, and that without holiness in spirit, body and soul, no many shall see God.
We believe in the Apostle's Creed as stated in such manner: We believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell, the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended
into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic (universal, one) Church; the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sin, the
resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
We believe in the Father, who is God Almighty, the Creator of
all things and the preserver of light and life.
We believe in the Son, who is Jesus Christ, God's only begotten
Son. He was human and Divine, truly lived suffered and died,
rose again from the dead, ascended on high and is coming again.
We believe that Jesus was sent by God to man, that whosoever
believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Members are reminded our Sunday School is held from 10:15-10:45 a.m on Sunday mornings. Rev. Judy
Wells, superintendent, is asking for more participation from the membership in order to have classes and teachers set up according
to age. Faculty involved with the teaching aspects are Rev. Judy Wells, superintendent; Rev. Sonya Thompkins, Deacon Jerry
DeBerry, Sis. Sheila Benson, Rev. Jonathan W. Blake and Rev. Marguerite Hills will serve as an alternate.
REVIVAL: Rev. Willie J. McCreary, pastor of Greater Tabernacle Church, will be in a two-day Revival at the Center on Thursday,
July 19th and Friday, July 20th. Service will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
FELLOWSHIP: On this coming Sunday, July 22nd at 4:00 p.m., Love Center will worship with the Glenville Church of God, 744
East 105th Street in the anniversary observance of their pastor, Rev. Charlie Goodman.
ORDINATION: Rev. Angela Maxwell and Rev. Tina Thompkins, will receive the rite of ordination to the full office of the ministry
in the Center on Sunday, July 29th at 3:30 p.m.
ANNIVERSARY: The 46th Ministerial Anniversary of Elder Paul Carrington will be celebrated during the month of August with
various churches in attendance on Sundays, August 5th (3:30 p.m.), Eaglewing Baptist Church, Revs. Angela Maxwell, Rev.
Wilson; August 12th (3:30 p.m.), Greater Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. Willie J. McCreary, pastor; August 19th (3:30 p.m.),
Faith Temple Church, Bishop John W. Thompson, pastor and August 26th (4:00 p.m.), Glenville Church of God, Rev. Charlie
Goodman, pastor. On Saturday, August 18th Rev. Naomi Gatlin, pastor of the Universal Liberty Church of Detroit, Michigan will
be in service at the 6:00 p.m. hour.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAY: The Annual Family and Friends Day will be celebrated on Sunday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m.,
during the morning worship. Members are asked to invite their relatives and friends to this service. There will be a special
give-a-way sponsored by the Women's Day Committee at this service. All are welcome to attend. Members and friends attending
should observe "dress down."
BIBLE COLLEGE GRADUATION: Love Center Bible Institute No. 9338 will graduate three students: Antoinette Butler, Loretta
Grant and Theresa Smith-Bey on Sunday, September 16th at 4 p.m. Commencement speaker will be Dr. Tonya Morah,
communications instructor at Wilberforce University and pastor of Universal Liberty Church in Cleveland.
PLAY: Rev. Sonya Thompkins will present a play entitled "State of the Mind" in the Center on Saturday, September 22nd at 5 p.m.

It is with sadness of heart that I write to inform you that my Pastor, Dad, Friend, Confidant and Church Overseer, Rev.
Lawrence Curtis Roberts, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2008. Words alone cannot express the
role Rev. Roberts played in my life. It was Rev. Roberts who encouraged me in the ministry at a very crucial moment in
my life. His words to me when I felt like I had made a mistake by entering the ministry, let alone pastorship was: "If God
called you - then you can't quit."
A lasting bond ensued from our meeting, and as a result of Rev. Roberts and his lovely wife, Bootsy's encouragement and
support to the Love Center ministry, we were able to build a new edifice and dedicate it in year 2003. Rev. Robert's
appear on the choir's latest CD entitled "Music for the Church," along with his wife Bootsy. He will be greatly missed by
this congregation, and we vow to keep his memory alive.
